Over 1000 people attended Keaukaha Elementary School's Evening of Song. Students from Ka 'Umeke, Ke Ana La'ahana and Keaukaha Elementary School participated.

October 2007 `Ohana Night - Ke Ola Kino (Healthy Body)
Keaukaha Elementary School held it 'Ohana Night Ke Ola Kino (Healthy Body) on October 24, 2007. Isaac DeMello, Kawena Kawelu and Myla presented "Health Rocks".They taught our students and parents about food, body, stress. Ms. Herweg taughts our students and families how to prepare their own healthy trail mix. Kumu Fa`anunu presented "Fun is Fit - Bodies in Motion". Kegan, Moki, and Aunty Jan taught the importance of washing our hands with "Germ City". And our special speaker was Michele Carvalho from Hui Ho`omalu.

September 2007 Ohana Reading Night - "Kilo Hoku" or "Star Gazing"
Keaukaha Elementary School held its first `Ohana Reading Night for the 2007 SY on September 26, 2007. Students, parents, and community members were invited to school for an evening gazing at the stars. Scientists Kenyan Beals of the Hawaii Institute of Astronomy, Dr. Kumiko Usuda of the Subaru Telescope, Andolie Marten from the Gemini Telescope, and Bess Jennings from the Department of Education helped by sharing their knowledge with our youth.

Leslie Wilcox of PBS Hawaii visited the campus of Keaukaha Elementary School on September 4, 2007 to learn more about the Got Pono? program. Kumu Lehua Veincent, Principal, leads his students in an oli (chant) to welcome Ms. Wilcox and her crew to the Keaukaha School campus.
